What are my kids learning from this?
Each day when Daddy comes home, he has a treat in his pocket for them. They can only get the treat if they give him a hug and are affectionate to him. If they do not greet him this way when he comes home they cannot get the treat. If they wish to have the treat later, he will tell them they cannot have it, that they were mean to Daddy and cannot get a treat that day. What are my kids learning from this?
The kids are boy-5 years old, and girl-4 years old

They're learning that daddy's an affection whore. lol Seriously, unless he is always that way, I wouldn't worry about it. Kids give their parents a much bigger break than we give one another.

They are learning that approval from Daddy is based on doing something that they don’t want to do. They are learning that they are not in control of their own bodies. They are not learning how to say no to someone who asks them to show affection. They are not learning that their bodies belong to them. They are being set up to be unable to refuse molesters and sexual predators. Your husband has a pretty strange idea of what a father is supposed to do. He is trying to earn their affection by bribery rather than by being a loving father and he needs to stop.
