The SEED Center, an all-inclusive therapeutic center for autism evaluation and treatment located in Stamford, CT, will be offering a Holiday Break Program for children with special needs, beginning Tuesday, December 27th and running through Friday, December 30th.
The Holiday Break Program features a customized, play-based curriculum that allows children to learn and have fun at the same time.
Just because school is out for the holidays doesn't mean your children can't spend their vacation learning and being productive says Evan Schermer, Co-Founder and President of The SEED Center. A lot of kids tend to see their vacation as an opportunity to play video games or watch television. The Holiday Break Program is a great alternative to that; it provides an educational and productive atmosphere, but keeps children entertained at the same time.
Each child participating in the Holiday Break Program is pre-screened and grouped according to their age and ability. Children will be exposed to a variety of fun activities that are designed to promote growth in the areas of social skills, academics, speech and language, occupational therapy, and daily living skills. Daily activities will run from 11 AM to 2 PM and will include the use of iPad technology, cooking, crafts, games, and learning, among others.
