New to camp this summer is "Kids Learning Café" with a cutting edge approach to creating teachable moments while children prepare and cook their favorite recipes. All senses will come alive in our "kid's kitchen"! Like no other cooking program, we incorporate awareness of all the Multiple Intelligences proclaimed by Howard Gardner, Phd. Math, science, art, language, geography, and interpersonal skills are strengthened while children enjoy our cooking program. Older campers take it a step further by setting up a café/business whereby they begin establishing a broad understanding of the financial world. Investors, taxes, profit, expenses, are all part of "setting up shop". Developing financial concepts at an early age is an advantage to all children. Younger campers get to purchase and enjoy the delicious snacks and treats prepared by the older campers.
