How can a AD/HD kid help herself with learning logarithms?
I have a hard time understanding how to do logarithms because I am a hands on type learner with ADHD and they make little sense to me. What can I do?

Can you write down the pieces of the problem on different strips of paper and then rearrange them?
Can you talk your way through it? I find if I"m talking, I'll pay attention more.
How about singing the steps?
Or dance around while you go over how to do the problems?
These are all just ways to use the other parts of your brain to compensate for the part that doesn't work so well.

I am a hands-on type learner with learning disabilities too, but I found that if I concentrated very hard I could learn anything. It might take longer than it does most people, but it is definitely possible. Perseverance is key. The worst thing you can do is to handicap yourself by buying into a “label” as an excuse for not working hard.
