The Accident Attorneys of Monge & Associates helped a local non-profit stage a successful charity race on November 12 to raise funds for leukemia and other blood cancer research.
The firms Georgia personal injury lawyers sponsored The Flap Jack Dash 5K and Kids Race, which was held at the Mount Pisgah Christian School Athletic Campus in Johns Creek, a community located northeast of Atlanta.
At the end of the dash, each runner received a medal and a stack of pancakes, and the non-profit Jefferys Voice received all proceeds. The funds will help advance its mission of providing funds for the search for the cure to leukemia and other blood cancers.
Were very excited to have had the opportunity to sponsor this heart-touching charity, said Scott Monge, an experienced Georgia accident attorney and the founder of the law firm, which represents accident and injury victims throughout Atlanta, Georgia and the Southeast.
Jefferys Voice, one of the top rated non-profit organizations by GreatNonprofits, was inspired by Jeffrey Hammond Home and his younger brother, Brian Daniel Home. At the young age of 20, Jeffery was diagnosed with leukemia. Seventeen weeks after Jeffery passed away, his younger brother died of cardiac arrest and acute respiratory failure.
Their mother, Nancy Horne, continues to carry on the search for the cure to leukemia and other blood cancers in memory of her sons.
One example of the non-profits efforts is the establishment of the Jeffrey's Voice Leukemia Research Fund at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in Atlanta.
The sponsorship of The Flap Jack Dash is just one of many volunteer and charity efforts undertaken by The Accident Attorneys of Monge & Associates. On November 11, for instance, the firms Georgia accident lawyers and staff teamed up with the 7 Bridges to Recovery ministry to provide food and blankets to Atlantas homeless residents.
